Why did you move on from the water effects so quickly? Refractive effects were used on the Saturn when it came up visualising water. The Saturn was a bum to programme for, but research and be reasonable.
the hi res pc version loooks fantastic
I got this game on Playstation 1 for Christmas since I was kid, but I was so scared to play this game!
any link for the forums you were on for the revamped version?
I didn't realise the pc version I played was missing music. The ambient sounds really fit well though. I got a new pc just as it was released so played on higher settings and it was amazing. My favourite alongside quake and baldurs gate, that was my golden age of gaming.
how was the un-distorted quad sprites mode/effect on the Saturn enabled? I d love to see this done to more games.
new tombraiders suck
EXCELLENT video! Thank you!
Saturn rules!
Pointy tits and shooting dogs. Win win.
Tomb raider is still a good game to play.
saturn<ps1<<< PC!!
I prefer the darkness in the Saturn version. It's more realistic and TR is a realistic type of game. In the playstation version there's too much light and one can ask: "if i'm inside caves and closed spaces then where does all the light coming from?"
Quads are distorded sprites? Where did you learned that? And can you explain or show me a video of it, if you know of course.
I still have the games and a ps1 and ps2 to play them.
Lara looks meatier in the SS version lol
holy fuck that flat sprite texture mode makes my head hurt
You forgot Macintosh.
its pronounced "darby"
Played this on the original PS and will always have a soft spot in my game playing heart for this great game thanks for the retro look back in time at it.
I've grew up with the Tomb Raider franchise with the 4th one being my favorite
dithering < banding
Voodoo2 12MB ftw!
I remember the days of switching between VGA and SVGA on the PC version and watching the frame rate tank.
pc version looks like 10 x better id rather play the pc
Nostalgia…
