What game were you playing or 3D program did you use for the footage In between the games? For example the planet fly over at 12 seconds in. It looks incredibly realistic?
Just buy another copy of Homeworld. The new ones all suck.
X4 Seems to be the front runner right now. It just looks to be the best made and the future for the game seems bright. The X series is pretty legendary in the genre, so it helps having that history.
Avorion <<<<<<<<<<<<<<< the biggest most well realized space sandbox with player designed ships.
Star Link ?
Star Conflict? Kidding. They ruined the game long ago with their greed. They capped it off by alienating all of the experienced players. I don't see it going much past the end of 2018
No Star Control: Origins?
never forget spore
They need to remake Independence War: Edge of Chaos. I still have the original CD. Awesome game.
Astroneer?
How many of these games have comfortable 3-rd person view with a crosshair?
Sad that a 15 year old space ship game is well the best space ship game on here.
Beyond good and evil 2 is a space game thats coming out far in the future maybe 2019-2020 hopfuly.
X4 is extremely glitchy and lacking in content hell you can't even complete the tutorial at the start of the game.
Space engineers..? Really good game
Thirty second gloss over of Everspace. Come on. Not that it matters, since everybody is completely obsessed with no man's sky
Empyrion
Space engineers
Just about to start the video. I would bet my head, Star Citizen will be on this list.
#1-13 : Star Citizen
TL;DR – Play Eve Online – it's free to try it out.
Join us – The subscription costs are worth it for it's day in – day out content alone in my opinion.
Stay – for the "gud fights," the laughs, the trolls, the salt, the tears, but more importantly the community. I have been avidly playing since Feb, 2013. I regret not starting in 2007 when the game was introduced to me by another player not because I feel under skilled but because of all the player content I missed out on. This game is not for the instant gratification seekers – you are not likely going to be a coalition tycoon ruling an expanse of territory in a month or even a year; however it is possible in time. Who will you be friend or foe? My next CEO? Or am I to be yours? Are we to clash in some epic battle or to work as a unit for a mutual goal? The possibilities are copious.
No Mans Sky is turning out amazing. Missions, base building, multiple story lines, guilds, land and aquatic vehicles, multiplayer, capital ships, building within capital ships, fleet management, and constant content updates with new things to see and do. It's turning out to be one of the best space games out there.
There are still a few things I'd like to see before it's pretty much perfect in my eyes. Rivers, streams, and waterfalls, volcanoes, lava and magma, a much larger assortment of flora and fauna, overhauled caves, NPCs that move around and do things, pirates on planets that allow for shootouts, different hazardous weather such as lightning, tornadoes, meteors, and maybe some other creative ones, deeper and darker oceans only accessible with a vehicle or deep diving suit. Just a few ideas.
Best space game is freelancer! If it had a fully working economy it would be perfect!
Not including Stellaris? You could go to jail for a crime that severe.
Whatever happens to StarLink?
I'll just chime in and recommend Avorion 🙂 You need to build your ship first 🙂 otherwise it's basically an X3 game with a huge procedural universe… Also, you have RTS controls over even fleets of ships.
Eve Online.
You failed to mention 'Deliver Us The Moon'. 😎
well 2018 is almost over
May I ask if anyone knows what the background music is called? its nice 🙂
You forgot Amazing Discoveries in Outer Space.
Why is Kerbal Space Program not on there? If it's because it's not of 2018 then neither is Eve Online even though both are great.
P.S. thanks for putting the list in the description
Empyrion is pretty amazing !
Obsidian has the best narrator voice for his vids! Great vid!
Y warframe it in the list ree 😩
Vendetta online is a good fun online multi player space game – have go it it OA
THARSIS is simple and nice space game.
No one talks of vendetta online
Where's Warframe?
After Starcitizen thats see like joke)
What about Halo and Destiny
X4 looks good but I want to see more gameplay before I commit to buying.
You are a good narrator. Well done.
For anyone wanting to check out Star Citizen you can sign up for free here robertsspaceindustries.com/enlist?referral=STAR-Q4B2-QWKS and receive 5 dollars worth of free in game cash (5,000 UEC) just for signing up! no purchase necessary.
and from Nov 23 through Nov 30 you’ll have the chance to try out every flyable ship and operable vehicle in the game for free. Here’s how it works:
During the promotion, anyone can join Star Citizen’s Persistent Universe for free. You’ll be able to experience Star Citizen first-hand, but to get out there and start exploring, you’re gonna need a ship.
Starting on November 23rd, every day at 8am PST, a different ship manufacturer in the game will make its entire flyable fleet available for a 24-hour test flight period.
