Brian Lara Cricket on the Playstation 1. Released in 1998. I don’t like Cricket, but I surprisingly enjoyed this… a little. As always – please feel free to like, comment and subscribe.

24:44 – "That was a what the fuck did he just do" haha it was a wide.
Duck means the batsman got 0 runs
6:15 – "Single to Saeed Anwar" Then you said "Singledan Saed andaar.." I love how you're trying to work out what the controls are to a cricket game but have absolutely no idea how to play cricket!! LOL
Cricket is played in Pakistan. I just came here to recall my childhood games.PS commentators in game were commentators in real cricket too. You just rocked it man with your commentary.
I'm just on a random watching spree of all my favourite old console games and I remember playing this after school when I was like 7. Honestly this is so entertaining and your commentary had me laughing the whole way through 😂😂😂
nyc.. goodd gam vary nyce.
I don't even pretend to know how to play this game.. or even real life cricket for that matter. But… it's a Playstation 1 game, so it's all good!
can uh help me with this please
Back in the days, these were some next level graphics.
you suck at it…
I loved this game! And I am Scottish!! Hahahah cheers for the memories!
I was as lost as you dude
Thanks for doing this, have to say it looks like it does a very solid game of cricket and would love o see what its like with a multitap! Now repeat after me "I don't like Cricket, oh no, I love it!" 😉
4 is when you you knock the ball over the boundary after it hitting the ground a 6 is when you knock it over the boundary without it bouncing. The match you played was a 10 over match so 60 balls a side providing all 10 men are not out. Slow bowlers don't take a run up they spin the ball either with there fingers or wrists, you need a fast or medium bowler to run up.
The second man got out as the ball hit his leg before the wicket, you can't block the wicket with yours so if you do the umpire has to decided if the ball would have hit them and give you out or not. The duck is for score zero out for a duck. The score say 42/3 would mean you've scored 42 runs for the loss of 3 wickets.
This was excellent back in the day, hard sport to,play if you don't understand the rules my family is pretty big into cricket as we live in Yorkshire not to far from the cricket ground. Quick few bits from the vid an over is 6 balls, a leg by is when the ball deflects off your leg and goes far enough you can actually run, the run. The batsman only get credited with a score if they score runs of the bat, leg byes get credit as extras.
You have to love those PS1 graphics! 🙂
I remember this being a pretty big game at the time, I don't understand cricket so never played it but I imagine for those who follow cricket it was probably amazing, the cricket equivalent of FIFA no doubt
