An in-depth look at London Seirei Tantei-dan (London Spirit Detective Team), a charming role-playing game on the PlayStation One that is often overlooked.
Is this game rare? There's not a single copy available anywhere online!
I'd love to see a Tales of '98 by John Madden game. NA needs more football JRPG action RPG dating sims/visual novels
Looks very cool, thanks for showing this off. Glad I found this channel.
Just found your channel and awesome stuff man!!! Really like the concept and way everything is presented! Looking forward to checking out more! π
I'm also one of those people that feels the golden age of RPGs was the PS1 era. There was some great stuff on the SNES and Genesis, but so many of my favorites were on the PS1. I really like the look and setting of this one, and it's really awesome that they added a Wayne's World reference and let you save anywhere. Really wish more games would let you do that. This one is definitely going on the wishlist.
Even with the bell ticked I'm still not getting updates when they happen. :/
Anyway, this one really looks like something right up my alley. As a fan of 32-bit JRPGs and being a Brit I'd love to see how my country's culture and history are interpreted in that style. Plus I love the isometric sprites, the bizarre yet ordinary setting, and the unconventional heroes and villains.
Can't find it on eBay atm, but hopefully I can pick this one up in the future, just need to get on with learning Japanese.
Dunno where to start though, written language or verbal? Both are going to be a challenge but I can do the latter on the bus to work easily.
Man, this game looks like it has so much character to it. I could definitely see this building a small-ish, but very dedicated fan-base, so it's a shame that it wasn't localized. Also, do my eyes deceive me or is that some wickedly awesome Engrish on the jewel case insert? Anyway, fantastic work and great editing, Hapa-san:)
I dunno why, but I just lost it when "buddy" or "Aibo" gets run over by that lady exiting the room and just the idea of this little kid taking the abuse of everyone around him, like they don't even see him and he just shrugs it off.
I'm only a third of the way in, and I think I regret never having played this game already.
I liked this episode. Unfortunately, it's not a game I could get into without a translation patch.
This completely missed my sub box for some reason so thanks for mentioning the upload on twitter. Man, I'd love to get a hold of this game so I can put it next to my copy of Moon Remix RPG until either get a solid fan translation. Sadly I could find zero copies on eBay. Do you know where else I could look? As always an excellent and informative video Jimmy.
300 pounds for a lemon tea! Even for London prices that better be some good tea! Good to see you can get those famous British favourites Lemon-pan and Cherry-pan from the pub! Well at least they got the sandwiches and roast potatoes right.
Anyway this game looks great. Shame it didn't get a release outside of Japan.
What's he name of the game at 2:28? Sorry, it's a bit hard to unterstand… π
I mean Victorian era paranormal investigations? Come on!
I feel in love with the look of this title last year after seeing some game footage but until today I had no idea what the story was about. Now I'm just angry at myself for being a lazy fucker who dosen't know Japanese. I want to play this sooo badly.
The sad part of some of your videos is that me (like many others) will never be able to enjoy this awesome games because of the language barrier. Let's hope that a translation patch comes out some day. And the end music is from the game? It's really catchy. Cheers!
Hi Jimmy, another awesome video. (and of course another game I had never heard of and one I wanted, lol) Speaking of which tracking down a copy of this game is a bitch considering how cheap it is. I had to resort to searching for it in the original Kanji(?, correct me if I'm wrong about that)
I managed to find it on Amazon using this ε«ζ¦η²Ύιζ’ε΅ε£ and got my copy for under $20. Keep up the great work, and I'll sit waiting patiently for the Valkyrie video that I hope to see one day. Oh, and I saw you talking about El Dorado Gate below, I was always interested in it and look forward to you reviewing the series one day if you decide to.
can you at least someday do a crossover episode with other youtubes like chrontendo or gamesack of console wars?and did you ever played any japan only fmv games?
looks like a great game, shame its JPN only, have a great 2017 Jimmy
Man, I just love your videos so much. It's such a shame that your videos take so much work. It's understandable though. If you might ever need any help with editing and/or graphic design, hit me up because I would like to help you out.
Another fantastic review! Really great time to watch and listen. I wish You all the best in 2017! Please keep on reviewing when you have the time.
Jimmy finally looks at a Japan only RPG, even the one that flew under my radar, and I miss it like a chump. Go me! falls down
Cool video as usual… There are some games such as this one you'd like to play just by seeing the sprites. And I still haven't played Suikoden! I should try and fix that!
This looks super cool. Thanks for covering it.
Really love your videos!! Bless Import gaming xD
Dude hell yeah! Glad I just found your channel. I love hearing about games like these, especially due to not being able to play them much myself.
YES!!!!! Tell em how hard the psx rpg lineup kills the SNES!!!!! Let these fuckers know!!!!!!!! BTW, this games is looks fucking amazing. The longer your videos get, the happier I become.
Hey Jimmy, have you done a series on The El Dorado Gate for the Dreamcast?
What a charming-looking little game! I might pick it up once I get over my fear of kanji… π Too bad I gravitate less and less toward RPGs as I have less and less time, but it's nice to hear this one doesn't drag for a hundred hours. Oh, and merry Christmas to you too, and have a happy new year!
I had no clue this game even existed! But it's exactly the type I like to see. I just love beautiful vibrant hand-drawn graphics. Thanks a lot Jimmy for making quality videos of great underappreciated stuff.
Holy crap!!! I just realized the date on this video! I discovered it the very day it was posted. Here's the amazing thing: it was because I was watching one of Jimmy's videos. But it was the first one I've watched in months!!! If that's not the mother of all coincidences I don't know what is!!!
You've said it, the fellow commenters said it, but the word for this game is simple: CHARMING. I wish I could make it through the text to get the enjoyment out of it. Ever think of taking a look at Korokoro Post Nin for the PS1?
Hey Jimmy. You should have more subscribers. Considering how good your content is. Also how long did it take to Photoshop John Madden.
Cracking a new case? The ace attorney Sherlock JAP 3DS exclusive…? I hope so! Thanks for your awesome vids Jimmy.
I think I'm turning into a weeb. I'm considering importing a 1991 Toyota Soarer and a Jimmy Hapa body pillow.
dope as always. thank you!
game looks a whole lot like breath of fire 3.
man this game looks fun , disappointed to hear of no fan translation hopefully one day . I can only imagine how many great jrpgs that were never localized anyways thanks for always making a great show π
The art style and the overall feel really remind me of Grandia, aaaand now I want to play this!! Thanks for a great video!!
Really love the editing in your videos. Another informative video about a game I knew nothing about. I wish it was localized in the west.
Amanzing…Nice work Jimmy!
nice work Jimmy glad to see you kept your channel two thumbs up keep up the great work always got my support as a fan
I love your videos, very well done, thanks !
I couldn't agree more, the Playstation 1 era had some really wonderful RPG's and it's a damn shame we didn't get this one as I feel it could've been a decent hit, if not a somewhat rare title that Re-Sellers would overcharge for. Fantastic YouTube film-stuffs, Hapa-san! π

I'm going to check this game out, I've been studying Japanese on my own for many years now, so hopefully I can play through it. I wish I was advanced enough to make a translation patch. Anyway, thanks again for another great video γ©γγγγγ¨γγγγΎγJimmy Hapaγγ~! γγͺγγγ΄γ€γγͺγγγ§γ! π
