9. I personally would love it if Nintendo made a direct sequel to "Breath of the Wild" since I love the game mechanics, engine and art style. As for a Zelda game being released in 2019, they already announced "Link's Awakening" to be released for the Switch.
   What I personally want them to do is to make another Breath of the Wild DLC that offers another story, while we wait for the next Zelda game. Give us something to do while we wait Nintendo!

11. I love the idea of a BotW sequel set once the entire world is rebuilt and there is a dark world mirroring it. Kinda just like a link between worlds, but with BotW and no paintings.

15. I forget what article I read this on, but you guys should look up recent interviews with Aonuma on BotW. He stated that the longest part of BotW's development cycle was the engine, and heavily suggested that he'd like to reuse that for a sequel. He also specified that if he did reuse BotW's engine for a sequel, he'd want to be multiplayer. He used Four Swords as an example.

    But I digress! Point being that, if they do a sequel a la Majora's Mask, reusing the engine and assets, a new BotW should really take a fraction of the development time as BotW. Keep in mind that a part of the reason BotW was delayed was to accommodate the Switch. I'm willing to bet the game was done in four years rather than five, with the fifth year spent making and sitting on the port.

    With that all taken into account (also the recent news of Link's Awakening filling our 2D Zelda gap), I'd imagine a BotW 2 is not only likely to happen, but a 2020 release date being more realistic than some might think…. Although it is kinda wishful thinking.

    Although, I do wonder what other franchise but Zelda could be the flagpole game of 2020 with Smash in 2018, and Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and Mario Maker 2 holding up 2019. I wouldn't expect the next 3D Mario to come before the next 3D Zelda, sooo wtf is left for 2020? Especially with Metroid Prime 4 off the table.

17. My dream is for them to do a direct sequel and you get to travel around a Hyrule that's restored and just come up with a enemy that is attacking again and trying to bring back Ganon and you take all the newest champions and form a new team ready to defeat Ganon once again.

25. As they have the engine all ready developed the engine they can focus on story and artstyle, this will be good because Botw's story was lacking
