13. 8k at 60fps+ would require more then 4 2080TI with top line i9 and/or some custom AMD Ryzen and high end GPUs.

    We know Polyphony Digital has know how to pull something off like that if they had full support/Help from AMD or Nvidia. But agreed. Lol no chance consumer are going have 8k gaming console any time soon. Hah I wish.

    I’ll be happy if ps5 has Ryzen zen 2 custom soc/APU and they target 60 fps as standard. 4k/60 fps Beast would be nice. But all comes down to if Navi will be high end gpu. Vega 56+/GTX 1070+ performance in ps5 (console box) should be do-able I hope in 2019/2020. Ryzen is strong enough cpu. Now we just need wait on gpu announcement from AMD. We all hope Navi will answer that call 🙂

17. Hot take: the PSP2 doesn't need touchpads. Also it should be something different than just a watered down PS3.5 console. It could be the first dedicated holographic portable or sonething. Who TF cares if it will be dockable? Lame af. Putting shit in a cradle is dumb. Make it a different experience than the PS5 but have companion features and games that complement the PS5 library, not necessarily just "copy" it.

19. I'd be pretty much interested of a new Playstation Portable if it has the specs of a PS4 Slim and be named the product as Playstation Portable 2 (PSP2) not Playstation Vita 2 (PSV2) for several reasons such as PSP was widely successful than PSVita.

23. I still have my og oled 3g vita with quite a few gems of games! Incredible system which was abandoned too early and fell victim to the rising smartphone market, poor marketing on behalf of Sony and the illogical design choice of its proprietaty memory option!

    As for the PS5, I bet Sony will create a monstrously powerful hybrid system that will have built in VR, hardware based backwards compatibility with all legacy systems and will feature some sort of detachable tablet from its main body for remote play and for standalone gaming, just like a regular handheld. Personally, I would design the Dualshock 5 to be breakable in half and assign its two parts to the tablet/handheld for the remote play option, pretty much in the same way the Switch does it. I would also offer a more compact control option for outdoors!

    This is more of a dream than an actual product but one can only dream, right? Well, the folks at Sony are wizards so any dream is possible!

26. I am all for a new sony portable, had PSP and have the vita but i say it right here if it's true and if it uses proprietary memory card like the vita with those prices it will flop.

37. The Japanese love portable game devices so making a Sony portable system makes a lot sense. Heck, the switch is doing very well in Japan so I'm pretty sure Sony want to get back in to the portable market because of how well the switch has been selling in Japan. Why Japan first? First off, Sony making a portable game system is a risky business especially in other regions parts of the world. Except for Japan. I also think Sony want to make it easier for Japanese gamers to have the option to stream their game from their base ps5 if they own one.

    The obvious choice to make a cartridge based portable Sony handheld is probably the only n best solution Sony has in protecting the game by putting it inside a small casing.

39. To tie in two stories: it would be good if PS5 used cartridges (that could also be used in a new PS portable) this could solve the problem and expense of needing huge HDD/SSD drives, instant loading times, and also cut cost by not having blu ray drive

43. I loved my Vita, Sony gave up on it too soon, it was perfectly designed that oled screen was gorgeous! It had some great games too: Unchartered: Golden Abyss was one of my favourite in the series
