The best first person shooter games on PC, as decided by the super-suit scientists over at PCGamesN. (Half-Life 3 not included). 00:17 – Counter-Strike: Global …

  1. Call of Duty 2 would have been a much better game if it allowed you to also play the good guys (Germans).  But, you could only play the bad guys (British, Russians, and Americans).  I do not like any game that portrays the German people as NAZIs or the bad guys.  Germany was in fact the good guys.  To learn more, watch the video, here on YouTube, The Greatest Story NEVER Told.

  2. Half-Life and Half-Life 2 suck.  Yes, I can argue with the numbers.  You see, most people, especially Americans and Brits, have a taste for shit.  If you actually think that Half-Life and Half-Life 2 are the greatest FPS games of all time, then you have clearly not played any of the good ones.  The best FPS pc games of all time are the following:  Doom II, Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, Blood, Painkiller, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Serious Sam, Serious Sam II, and Red Faction II.  This is not my opinion, this is a fact.

    3. FAR CRY 3 – 4 & PRIMAL
    7. PREY 2
    8. BATTLEFIELD 1 – 3 – 4 & HARDLINE
9.QUAKE 3 & 4 Outside these games are poor quality (Other Series Assassin's Creed & Max Payne Series )

  4. Any list that does not include a Battlefield title is straight up horse crap … period.
But then again, like most modern Sci-Fi movies … in the future outer space will be mostly populated with people that all have British accents. Like those movies … this list is pure fiction.
Here is a better list :

(I could mention older games, but that is like saying the 1967 big- block Corvette, as an example; I could have picked any make of Car, was the best car ever made … we have the new Corvettes now, each great in their time, so let's focus on games people might want to buy and play now. Why show your age by talking about Rouge Spear and other titles from the times when Windows 98' still ruled. Civilization must move on … LOL)

    (no real order)
    >COD Modern Warfare,
(all great games but today, with the servers that are running MW2 or MW3 is the way to go. I would recommend MW2, and say THIS is the game that came along at the right time when the technology and population of online people that had computers capable where there to capitalize on these games. Who could ever forget the first time you threw a knife into the wild blue yonder and got lucky and killed someone across the map. There is no denying the impact these titles had on Gaming in general, and any list without MW on it is SHIT !!!)

    >COD Black Ops 2
(for those that want a more multiplayer experience, and it was a toss up to include 2 COD titles, or 2 Battlefield titles … but in the end I included 2 COD titles because they don't require a super computer to run, reach a broader spectrum of an audience because they are more fun, and less technical as Battlefield titles, plus all COD titles have outstanding single player Campaigns that are very replay able)

    >Battlefield 4
(again for those that want a more multiplayer experience, and although I really can not say I support the direction that the COD titles have gone, and when I do play a COD game now a days it is usually MW2 or BO2, Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline is where I find Gamers with my interest and my age, older gamer, and spend most of my online time.)

    >Fear 2
(one of the most under rated games ever)

    (and just my opinion)

    **** Honorable mention : *****

    >Star Wars Battlefront
( OK .. It bites there is no real single player campaign, and sure Origin will try to nickel and dime you to death … BUT … I say again BUT, one can not ignore the diversity of the community, or it's population. And I believe you can get the base game for almost NOTHING !!!. In my experience online no game has more female players, more peoples from all over the World and of every age like this title … not in an FPS at least. it's ability to entertain people of every gender, age, and Nationality is quite unique…. like the Movies they draw from, not bad Dice, not bad at all.
    >Dead Space and Dead Space 2
Some of my personal favorites, and an honorable mention to what might be be the best 3d person shooter ever (yes I know this is a topic about FPS games, but these titles are just that damn good)… Dead Space and Dead Space 2. One of the most balanced and re playable games ever.

To anybody looking to buy a game to try, you will not be disappointed with any of these.
