I like how you cheated on this list & gave an entire series a spot. I know that sounds sarcastic, but honestly, it's ballzy & definitely out-of-box thinking. When you look at the way a list is normally done by most YouTubers: It just appears schizophrenic when they spread & sprinkle an entire series thu out the list… And on top of it… When they have zero commentary to justify their opinion… Then it just seems like they just randomly rolled the dice OR picked them out of hat… …in order to just push a video out for the ad revenue. Your list on the other hand is elegant & refined… …and I suspect it will stand the test of time…
Like!
Great video with awesome spacing between games: short and sweet.
Man, great job pronouncing those Japanese names. I don't know if you nailed them, but nice!
PC engine games looked shit even SNES and mega drive games looked better and it had shit titles too.
Exile and Exile 2 don't need any understanding of Japanese to play? Is this true? I figured it being a RPG that it would need a lot of understanding. Can anyone confirm this before I drop money on the NTSC version?
Dude I haven't heard of a lot of these games! You did a great job with this, and you're not annoying like most gamer channels with all their forced "comedy", or feeling like you have to fill every fucking second with mindless banter… THANK YOU!!!
Damn that Facebook Messenger sound clip! Damn it to hell! I thought someone actually wanted to talk to me 🙁

vasteel 2 looks like a futuristic fire emblem! I only started looking into turbografx games TODAY, it's something I always overlooked and oh what a mistake that has been, these look like games I would have grown up loving, as a kid though it was down to my parents so I went straight from the amiga and gameboy to the mega drive, so it's just the luck of the draw, but I'm going to be tracking down some of these classics!
Solid list. Personally would rank Lords of Thunder and Spriggan 1 higher.
Well at least you did not put street fighter at 1#. Dracula X is Way Too Hard. Hard is not a positve aspect of a game you play games to have fun and get away from the stress of life.
An excellent list from arguably one of the best consoles of the 90s!! But to me, the CD attachment was an utter disaster!!! All the card adapters needed to use some of the games with the CD attachment (think Arcade Card Duo and the Kisado converter) was just ridiculous due to the lack of memory NEC failed to provide (think Nintendo64 years later). Now dont get me wrong, I love a lot of the CD games!! Lords of Thunder and Y's are my favorite. But looking at the architecture of the TG16, it really didnt need the CD, if they would have made an attachment similar to the proposed Coleco Super Games Module and created "Super Games" it would have done a lot better IMHO. Or at the very least, not made the TG/CD attachment and opt to just release the Turbo Duo as an upgrade similar to the XBox One S to the One X.
can I givie you a little tip? let the name of the game (at least on a corner) I watch this videos mostly to make list about what games a wanna hunt, its kinda annoying to have to go back and forwards to watch the title of the game. By the way you have a very good gaming taste
You’re crazy rating Cotton higher than Lords Of Thunder, but great video 👍🏻👍🏻
Kaze kiri..overhyped as hell. overrated too… boring and repetive
You better not talk about game sack again bro… They have a loyal following and I'm one of them. If Joe says the word will come and get you buddy LOL 🤘🏽😁😁
"A butt ton of fun." haha
Nice list, though! Love that you are still making videos!
Everybody who understands japanese should also play Might and Magic Book 1. PC Engine has by far the best version of the game leaving the NES far behind.
Hey Juganawt, thank you for all these list. I love em and have discovered because of you a ton of new games to play. I just finished Rondo of Blood (best castlevania game of all time imho). Im also playing Snatcher on Sega CD and man what a game. Anyways thank you for doing in these. Keep em coming.
eeehh… doesnt look any better than the regular ass pce
The number 1 game I've never herd of or even played before that's just me though.😎
Thanks a million (or 50 at least). Very helpful, very entertaining. "Lemmings is life" – words to live by indeed.
I really love your Top Lists videos, keep up the great work dude! If you're still taking suggestions, I would love to see lists for N64 and Sega Saturn games.
It's tough for me to decide which version of your video I like more, because I enjoyed your commentary but I know I also want to hear the gameplay a little more like your other vids do. But then again, there are other longplay vids of these games out there I'm sure that I could track down too, so I think I vote for your commentary to be on!
Nice list! Yep PC Engine is my third favorite console of all time. So many good games. I like hearing you talk about your choices. Far more interesting. Thanks for uploading!
We don't agree on everything, but that was a very respectable list. Personally, I've always hated metroidvania style games, and Daracula X is no exception, so not only would it not be my #1, I doubt it'd even be IN my top 50 if I made one. Ys would definitely be my #1; I've loved every Ys game I've ever played, and it's tied as my favorite game series of all time on ANY system (the other being Namco's Tales series). I really wish Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys got an official English release, but at least there's a 100% complete fan translation patch…
You're content has grown so much since I first found you. Keep it up man!
you said 8 bit system…dude…pc engine is 16 bit…get it right!!!
I wondee how did they manage to achieve the zoom effect on Fatal Fury Special. In the SNES port the effect seems to be simulated by collapsing the tiles to the center 1-2 pixels when the character goes to the background. But here fue effect looks better. True scaling?
Chiki Chiki Boys, i love that game, very cutesy but a great action game to get your arcade style game on! though i dont know what the difference would be to the Genesis/MD version, if any.
Exile 1 is on Genesis too, that game definitely requires a hefty amount of grinding but my sister beat it eventually, very unforgiving indeed.
funny thing about Forgotten Worlds, it's easily beat in 2-player mode (since you can continue as long as your partner is alive.) but in 1-player it is brutal to beat and so far no luck in solo play, then again i only play it casually.
Populous "expansion"? sold american! lol seriously though i love Populous and to know there's another version out there to play i have no need for any other reason to hunt it down.
other than that, very good list, surprising that the PC Engine is an 8-bit console.
Would have loved to own one of these!
Thanks for the list and all the hard work you put into this. Saw a few I've never seen before. Art of Fighting and Fatal Fury 2 looked crazy amazing! I would have put Ys Book I & II at # 2, but that's just nit picking… Overall fantastic!!!
I didn't know Vasteel 2 and Neo Nectaris were understandable without knowledge of Japanese, so I completely overlooked them. Good to know!
Mi amado Castlevania está en la lista!!!!
I love throwing on the commentary vids every now and then, keep it up mate!
27:20 Uh…accidentally put two audio tracks of yourself talking, did you?
PC Engine CD list, i wait it loooong time. Thanks 🙂
