1. By far the worst rpg on the series for its time. Ff9 was a mistake.

8. Off topic: Zidane is a genome, not monkey. And it's T(ee)dus, not T(ai)dus.

9. I didn't like it the first time I played it back in 2000, there are two reasons why. 1. couldn't dig into the art design, 2. wasn't totally into FF or any RPG's but I was totally into Star Ocean 2 back then. Then I gave it a second shot years later and I was surprised that the game has some of the lot stronger points than VII or VIII. I like Zidane more as a main character than Cloud or Squall. Honestly VII has more memorable moments and VIII in my opinion is more open-ended but I think IX is better structured as a game.

10. I just started this one and it seems SOOOOOOO much better than VII and VIII…

17. This is the only FF on a Playstation that I like. Played it last year after 7 and 8, played years back, really soured me on the genre to the point where I almost gave up on it.

    I rarely don't hear 9 come up xD haha (Note common ones for me to hear are 4,6,7,9)

    I can totally agree FF9 went vary Safe non risk story/gameplay and went more with what was liked and worked as love letter to its fan base :3
    Even Hironobu Sakaguchi said in a interview it was his Fav FF game :3

    Maybe it was love letter to the fans and makers alike ;p?

    Tho I got to say Re-playing it (My Co-op Let's Play shameless plug <,< https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL362A3076D9888A51 from my LP Channel >.>) I was shocked at how much can break the end game xD Like my god 1/2 this over power shit/skills I never got when I 1st played it back in the day xD

    But I don't think anyone can disagree FF9 had the WORST and most  badly plan GUIDE EVER! haha xD

22. I think the story of FF9 is intricate as that of the two previous games. The amount of detail they put into the scenario at least on par with 8. This game also to me belongs with 7 and 8 rather than the older games in the series. Those didn't have space to worry about the details and they didn't devote much time to character development or lore.

23. This game is great to just pick up and play – fun, simple, and really the last great final fantasy game.
