Hey guys today I want to talk about the new PlayStation Now subscription and breakdown the details.

Like you, I think I'm most hesitant about the price of this. Now, I don't have a PS4, so I have no dog in this fight, but I think it should be no more than $15/month, and I do agree that PS+ members should get some kind of discount. $15/mo for non-PS+ and $10 for PS+ sounds about right to me. This would give it comparable prices to Gamefly, but you would have immediate access to the games rather than having to worry about mailing things. That being said, there's no way I would buy this if I owned a PS3 because I would already have the games I want. After paying for a couple of months you could probably buy any of the games that you wanted to play but missed. If they add some older titles, maybe I would buy a month or two to be able to play them, but why not just buy the games you want instead of having access to "hundreds of games" that you won't play. It's like a cable package. I'd much rather just subscribe to the channels that I want/subscribe to the individual shows I want to watch than buy a cable package with hundreds of channels that I'll never watch. I just don't see the long-term viability of this. Unless all my PS consoles suddenly stopped working, I can't imagine subscribing to this for more than a month at a time to play the particular game or two that I want to at the time. Again, if you never had a PS console, this might be worth it, but for anyone else, I just can't see it.
Honestly, I'd rather just buy the games on my PSN account permanently than have to subscribe to a monthly Sony Netflix-esque account. But I can only watch and wait for Sony to hopefully not shut past games only behind Now.
Enjoyed the topic. I was actually going to cover this topic on my show today, but you pretty much said everything I was going to say so I think I may cover something else and just send SOG over to your video if that's ok with you. 🙂

Pay to play the games you already own!
Pure fun!
