Voice acting is better on PSP, yes… But Dracula's death scream is better on PSX.
Hm. I like the original PS1 version dialogues beter. But PSP Dracula sounds a bit more…intimidating.
PS1 for dialogue, PSP for acting.
The PSP voice actor fits very well for Richter.
Oh, hi, Ragna and Jin.
People really bash on the voice acting of games back in the 90's…but kids don't understand that we were happy to get ANY actual voice acting. I mean, shit we didn't even get real audio (non-midi) until the CD based systems came out, and no I don't count Turbo Grafix and Neo Geo lol. Saturn and Playstation revolutionized gaming for everybody, even if Saturn did supremely under perform. Oh man, do I remember the hardcore N64 vs Playstation debates of back in the day..like the commercials dissing each other were awesome back in the day! I like most people were able to get around the debate by owning both haha…$250 for a system back in the day was A LOT (N64 in 1996 was $250…I think).
PSP version has some good lines too, such as "To hell with your heresy!"
Psp dialogue is basically a better written version of the original. And mostly better VA. But truth be told, the original VA could have brought an updated performance but keeping that rather disinterested and frustrated attitude from tbe OG performance.
I DONT KNOW! :/ the voice styling in the original is way better for this theme than the casual modern way of speaking… Old one have way more charisma.
The PSP version improved the dialougue but it's so lifeless and boring. The cheesiness and campiness of the PS1 version is what made it so iconic and memetic to begin with.
Shame their using the psp voice for the Ps4 port
To be fair, 'Mankind. A cesspit of hatred and lies.' is a pretty cool and badass alternative line even though I prefer the original dialogue for the lols
"Ho, ho, ho."
PS1 version is legendary. Also, when Dracula dies in the psp version it sounds like Randy Marsh dying in "Make Love Not Warcraft"
I'm torn, the psp version is better acted and written and rhe ps1 version is fucking hilarious
Everyone's voices but Lowenthal's fit the characters they're for; his Alucard isn't my Alucard, but JoJo in my Castlevania's just greatness.
I was hoping so much the PS4 one would be OG, but sadly not. PSX is definitely better to me. PSP still sounds so boring in comparison even after hearing it again these years later.. Haters gon' hate when it comes to the original, I guess, but I enjoy it more.
The PSX quotes are legends
Alright. I know that the lines from the first may be more iconic, but god damn! The remastered voices are nice!
in PSP Dracula laughs while talking.
This is so sad man.
what is a man a miserable little pile of secrets!!!!!!
the PS1 version sounds like an 50s-80s B-movie while the PSP version sounds closer to an Anime adaptation.
PS1 version still has more soul.
I know kids these days would probably think otherwise, but they also think Thanos is from Fortnite and are still holding out hope for a Fortnite 3ds port.

Is it just me or is Dracula Revolver Ocelot?
