Great tutorial. Really needs a GUI setup, would prefer if this took over ePSXe in the general eye.
I did everything exactly as you did, the only thing I didn't do was download the same rom. It didn't work. So I used the link you provided and downloaded the rom you did, thinking it could have been a problem with the one I chose. When I extracted the file from your rom, the files you have are different than the ones that showed up for me. So I just gave up. I'm kind of frustrated, cause I spent a good hour setting this up for nothing.
coolrom is not save. Use romsmania or loveroms.
Thanks man.I really don't like epsxe because of 30 fps lock and some graphics bugs.I would stick to psxfin but there's low compability. This emulator seems perfect to me. One question, how do i delete save files on memory card?
Is it any better than ePSXe?
guide works great. do you have one for configuring cheats?
im trying to use it to play silent hill but whenever i drop the cue file on mednafen.exe it never works
Man you help me on mednafen linux version. Thanks a lot !
how do i install mednafen in general?
You should specify in the guide that Mednafen will not run .bin files but that must be used .cue file… This is important cause sometimes roms have just the .bin file…
I am using mednafen to play Saturn games for now. I am having a really hard time configuring my game pad it always shows as "gamepad 11" as opposed to "gamepad 1". Any fix for that?
Excellent, thank you! 🙂
Thanks a lot, I learned a lot from your video 🙂
I didnt get a cue file..i just got a bin file..
Requirements and specifications of the system because the author does not mention anything in the web site.
And for an AMD and ATI Radeon? or only INTEl and NVIDIA? … Thanks.
I followed this guide step by step up til the point of dragging the .cue file over to mednafen.exe. When I extracted the file before doing this, I was unable to see a .cue file, only a .bin file. I downloaded a couple of other Rom files and experienced the same problem after extracting them. Am I missing something? How do I locate these .cue files? Thanks!
Thank you good sir. I spent hours running through all of the emulators trying to get SOTN to work and had no luck. This tutorial was perfect in many ways, having the links in the description in the order that you spoke about them was nice, a very thorough explanation and even captions when the emulator fired up in case we couldn't hear your voice! Very thoughtful, very very good. Would give you multiple likes if i could. Thank you again good sir.
Super awesome and detailed tutorial! Thank you so much for this!
GREAT TUTORIAL MAN.. pls how configure joystick or controller number 2? EDIT: alt +shift + 2 …. oh yea!! 😀
Config in a text file.. maybe in the late 90s running Linux but these days that's garbage.
Thanks so much man, was struggling with this for a while.
