Pretty sick review! I'm like… the exact opposite kind of gamer who goes in for these sort of games and I still loved the review lol
I'm adding all of these games to my steam wishlist. Please do more of these types of videos! I greatly enjoyed this. 🙂
I know a few games I hope to pick up soon.
I know it's not the most "underrated" game, but child of light had a really enjoyable style to it. Nice job reviewing the games and giving some light to them!
Ok I seriously need to play Incognition, but you HAVE to play Still Life if you haven't already.
This was so well done, you have the perfect voice for this too!!
One of my faves that you didn't mention is The Cave by doublefine, there are quite a few fem protagonists that you can play as and it's a really fun co-op little adventure/puzzle solving game. And the humor and graphics are on point!
Argh! They're not all available for Mac! (And I was about to junk my Windows machine) I really want to plat The Cat Lady. Any way to port these?
Good list, I will keep it in mind.
Holy. Mackerel. And you want to quit YouTube? This. This right here. This is the kind of video that could get someone a hundred subscribers or at least cement the loyalty of those already subscribed. I've probably watched 20 hours worth of your videos and this is the one that finally made me think, "So maybe there's more to this gaming thing after all." Please do more video essays.
Nice list! I've played Heroine's Quest and loved every minute of it. That wizard was a bit insane though, as he was not of sane mind when he spoke and was surely not sane.
I'm not sure what to classify them as, but those RPG Maker horror (adventure-y-ish-maybe?) games are my favorite things to come from that engine. Ib, Mad Father, Witch's House, The Crooked Man. All great. I recently played the demo for Stray Cat Crossing on Steam and I'm looking forward to that as well.
There was a game on Newgrounds called Memo Huntress, about a teenage girl doing scavenger hunts for clients. It was a nice twist on the genre because you were actually controlling her and exploring the areas rather than just clicking on a picture. It was taken down by the author, but you can find it with a Google search.
Haven't played many adventure games with female protagonists but The Longest Journey is one of my favorites. Definitely underrated but definitely worth the time. I've also started playing Syberia but currently put it on hold, so I can't say anything about the series yet (though the reviews have been pretty good). Nice video, Lilly Looking Through looks very charming. It's kinda rare finding youtubers who talk about adventure games, so this is definitely fresh content. Keep up the good work!
