The PC Engine had a CD ROM drive before the Sega CD
And then we are back to cartridges again.
I like his ironic remarks on the hugest companies in the world.
90s was the CRPG prime. Not to mention RTS.
Spyro is Playstation Icon to me than Crash.
Anyone else feel reeeeealy sorry for Sega after these last few videos?
Uh, what about dual shock controllers???
the Sega Saturn might've been a failure, but it gave us one of the best commercial mascots ever, Segata Sanshiru!
The failure of management, bad relationship with 3rd party developers and too much rushing will have awful results.
I still remember playing Super Mario 64 with my brother in the DS Old times : fights
MOBAs…..? Please???
Erm Saturn had such better games, Shining Force 3, Burning Ranger, to name but two. Dreamcast brought back Phantasy Star and gave us Skies of Arcadia 2 amazing games, shame that one was a bust. My personal experience from playstation was just a few games but with different audience in mind, crash bandicoot and spyro are a good example. Why nothing about Amiga's super amazing and just brimming with 16 and 32 bit games.
The section on the Nintendo Playstation at 3:00The two companies teamed up in 1998? That can't be right. Two years after the launch of the N64 and 4 years after the original Playstation?
Crash Bandicoot look strange in that triangle-y design.
These are wonderful videos, thank you.
There will be nothing like PS1. Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot, Metal Gear Solid, Tekken 3, GTA 2 and Spyro… THE PERFECT experiences… It was incredibly amazing..
RIP Dreamcast :'( Gone but not forgotten.
thanks Crash Course Games, you've introduced me to the Tomb Raider franchise – i've started my adventure with Lara Croft and am absolutely in love with it.
PlayStation was and still is the bomb.
Final Fantasy 7 status screen. Of course Yuffie has Sadness
A bit disappointed you didnt include the Neo Geo and SNK in the mix but yeah I guess you cant have it all.
Ps4 totally fucked pc for the first time with its high performance/price kinda like some smartphones. Most gamers are casual not nerds 😉
"Fine, we'll go make our own cd-based video game console, with tuuters and blackjack".
The 3DS still uses cartridges
then there came xbox 360
You would not believe how many of these consoles I have in my house thanks to my dad.
Sony's strategy of making a solid console and then let 3rd parties flourish has proven to work.
Does anyone still use the ps2 I do sometimes
What no mention of Ocarina of Time, the highest rated game of all time?!!!
I need to find this semen game.
1998 at 3:03? I think you mean late '80s for the SNES CD
A mention about Jet Set Radio? Hell yeah!
They needed more Metal Gear Solid. But still pretty good
The Nintendo 64 was a abomination. It's only redeeming attribute was it's built in 4 controller port. Something that modern consoles still fail to have built-in.
A big channel said sonic was cool. Thank you for thinking for yourself.
Are you gonna do a VR video and tell us about it?
I was waiting for you to talk about 3D0, I guess I'll have to wait for season 2.
