The vortigaunts look different on Xbox.
The first time I played half-life 2 was on the original Xbox.
Graphics and framrate might not very good. But this version has more realistic sound for characters talking through a monitor(Breen on the first map for example).

How is the frame rate for half life 1 on the PS2 has anyone ever played that thanks
Its awesome to See how xbox runs this game…so Bad that I owned ps2 at the time and didnt know that this exists on awesome Plattform like xbox…well I am xbox Player scince 360 love xbox Hardware so much
I remember play this game on my Xbox and it was mind blowing at the time…today I'm playing this on my shield tablet(in HD and with better graphics and animation)…time changes
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
Bad port or not it's still impressive that Valve managed to get this running on an Xbox at all considering the power of the Source engine at the time.
Shitty porting job or was this game just too much for the Xbox to handle?
How did you capture the video? Component YPbPr or Scart RGB?
This, Conker, Riddik, And Thief were must owns for the system for me
Heard so much, maybe even too much about the HL games but never gotten around to playing any of them, always thought that they're your generic FPS, but man, this walkthrough is kinda' changing my mind about it.. I'm quite intrigued to play it now.
I first played HL2 on xbox, it definitely was a bad port. That being said, I still thought this game was well ahead of time and had the best graphics & engine I've seen.
This looks like an interactive slide show…Still great game at the time!

I'm playing this port. Never played any Half-Life so I just bought this one really cheap (like 3 bucks or so) and, to be honest, it plays nice. Yeah, there are some serious frame rate issues but it's not unplayable. I like the game for what it is. I'm pretty sure is not the best HL2 experience, but the game is so good that, no matter if the console can't replicate the exact visual and aural detail of the PC version, is still a fantastic game to play, and that means a lot.
Step 1. Watch Xbox LP. Step 2. Launch Orange Box HL2. Play a bit. Step 3. DL FakeFactory and install it for your HL2. Step 4.Enjoy the graphics and forget Xbox LP as your scariest nightmare.
Even considering the downsides gameplay and graphics-wise, this seems like a good port and also seems to give the authentic experience. Well, if I had a Xbox during the relevant period and was used to using the controller for FPS, I would definitely look for this game. As a side observation, I thought that the Playstation 2 also had a HL2 port?
